POSITION:  WAREHOUSE MANAGER

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Able Orings & Seals, a manufacturer and distributor of O-rings and industrial sealing products, is looking for a warehouse manager. The warehouse manager ensures that customer requirements are being met or exceeded through the efficient, productive, cost-effective, and quality conscious use of manpower, organization of time and quality assurance checkpoints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Training Employees
  • Training all new employees on the proper shipping and receiving procedures
  • Teach how to properly bill out all shipping orders
  • Ensure that ISO training handbook is properly maintained, and that the employee  is taught everything to properly do their job
  • Orientation of all manufacturing equipment and the procedures involved with them
• Supervision
  • Ensure that your departments are on time and running smoothly at all times.
  • Schedule overtime when needed to maintain a timely delivery for all orders
  • Adjust inventory (both raw materials, and distribution stock items)
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse at all times
  • Record warehouse employees start and finish times bi-weekly
• Distribution of Shop Orders/ Picking slips
  • Responsible for meeting due dates/ deadlines
  • All backorders must be shipped out 48 hrs from receiving them (no exceptions)
  • Adjust scheduling to account for rush orders, work with Operations Manager to ensure due dates are achievable
  • No deadline is to be missed (if that means overtime is needed)
• Auditing Responsibilities
  • Machine safety sheets up kept
  • Supply sheets requisitions
  • Machine maintenance records (and up keep)
  • Reporting of errors made and, give ideas for improvement/ system change
• Inventory Control
  • Inventory Audits
  • Physical counts on material and stock items
  • Upkeep product shelf conditions
• Continuous Improvements
  • Continuous improvements on systems in place to help run more efficiently
  • Input into better ways of existing processes
• How to increase yourself and your departments value to the company

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following skills including but not limited to strong computer skills, technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and highly organized in a fast paced environment.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum requirement for this position 4 years experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment and 2 years experience as a supervisor or manager in a manufacturing environment.  Capable of communicating expectations, policies and goods in an effective, positive manner.
