TapesThe ThermaCool family of high performance thermally conductive pressure sensitive adhesive tapes provides solutions to difficult thermal management problems. These products can be used in place of mechanical fasteners, provide excellent thermal coupling between components and heat sinks, and can accommodate materials of different coefficients of thermal expansion with the compliant interface. All of the adhesives are flame retardant and are formulated for high performance adhesion while still being easily re-workable without damage to sensitive components. 

Aluminum C675
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics ThermaCool® C675 is a thermal material constructed of 2 mil aluminum foil coated on both sides with 2 mils of thermally conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. C675 is provided in roll form with a release liner on both sides for ease of application. The product was designed to bond electrical components to heat sinks.

Graphite C690
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics ThermaCool® C690 Series are comprised of flexible graphite film coated on one side with 1 mil thickness of thermally conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Kapton K275
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics ThermaCool® K275 is manufactured with a 1.0 mil thick thermally conductive KAPTON® film. The film is coated on both sides with 2.0 mils of thermally conductive acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive. K275 is provided in roll form with a release liner on both sides for ease of application. The product was designed to bond electrical components to heat sinks. K275 contains no halides or silicones.

Kapton K271
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics ThermaCool® K271 is manufactured with a 1.0 mil thick thermally conductive KAPTON® film. The film is coated on one side with 1.5 mils of thermally conductive acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive, and on the other side with 2.0 mils of thermally conductive silicone rubber. K271 is provided in roll form with a release liner for ease of application. This product was designed for use in thermally conductive gaskets for high performance electronics where low thermal resistance and high dielectric strength are required.

Unsupported TC100U
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics ThermaCool™ TC100U is an uncured (B-Stage) unsupported thermally conductive solid silicone rubber. This material offers thermal conductivity along with electrical isolation for heat transfer applications bonding PC Boards and Heat Sinks. TC100U also acts as a stress relief interface when cured.

Unsupported TR3-5
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics ThermaCool® TR3 and TR5 are a unique series of thermally conductive pressure sensitive acrylic transfer adhesives. These adhesives are supplied with release liners on both sides for ease of converting. These materials allow an easy method to provide an adhesive layer to gap filler silicone materials and thermally conductive fabrics that are not supplied with integral adhesive. These materials can also be used in place of mechanical fasteners to bond heat sinks to components.
