Metal Jacketed Gaskets, as the name suggests, consist of a metallic outer shell with either metallic or non-metallic compressed fiber filler. The filler material gives the gasket resilience, while the metal jacket protects the filler and resists pressures, temperatures, and corrosion.
We offer metal jacketed jackets from the following industry leaders:
Garlock Metal Jacketed Gaskets
Lamons Metal Jacketed Gaskets
Metallic gaskets can come in different styles like; double jacket, single jacket, or solid metal. Soft compressible filler material can be flexible graphite, PTFE, or non-asbestos compressed sheet type. The design of a metal jacketed gasket also may require different shapes and the styles mentioned above can be made to a variety. Lamons jacketed gaskets are normally manufactured with a high temperature filler.
Flexitallic Metal Jacketed Gaskets
Flexitallic offers single jacketed and double jacketed gaskets.
The filler material is enclosed in a metal jacket which covers the inside and outside diameter of the gasket. Flexitallic offers single jacketed gaskets styles; Style 120 and Style 124.
Double Jacketed Gaskets are used on boiler and heat exchanger applications when ample bolting is available to correctly seat the gasket. They are designed for high pressure and temperature applications up to and inclusive of Class 900.
