We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team!

Essential Duties & Functions
- Performs data entry for Accounts Receivable including, but not limited to; posting cash receipts, entering invoices into customer portals, processing credit card transactions and invoicing daily shipments
- Contacts customers to resolve discrepancies; timely follow-up as required
- Assists in reconciling customer accounts to ensure accuracy of records
- Assists in generating customer monthly statements and reminder emails
- Works with other departments to research and solve accounting concerns
- Generates monthly accounting reports for management review
- Assists Accounting Manager with special projects as needed
- Reviews freight invoices for accuracy and verification charges were forwarded / absorbed as necessary; invoice / obtain credits as applicable
- Maintains records by indexing pertinent documents, check batches and credit card receipts
- Maintains high standards of accuracy and assures compliance with company and other applicable policies and procedures
- Provides back-up support to receptionist by answering incoming calls
Qualifications
- Associates degree (AA) and/or one to two years of accounting experience
- Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with accounting software and Microsoft office programs
- Possesses strong research and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow; able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
