| Description | As the Quoting Engineer, you will work closely with the Inside Sales team and Process Engineers to ensure that customer requirements are being met or exceeded by producing quotes for a wide range of products manufactured at any of our three divisions – Clarence, Syracuse, and Toronto. This is accomplished through a complete understanding of our manufacturing processes, and the efficient and quality conscious use of raw materials, tools, machinery, and manpower. Your success in this role will contribute to Seal & Design’s world-class standards for quality, customer satisfaction and commitment to continued growth. |

Qualifications
To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following regarding:
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
Skills: Basic Solidworks/AutoCAD experience. Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with business software and Microsoft office programs. Knowledge about basic machine operation and machine capabilities. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Characteristics: Results driven, ability to take initiative and challenge the status quo, ability to meet deadlines and work in a team atmosphere to deliver results
Preferred but not required: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Responsibilities
- Reviews customer requests with Inside and Outside sales to qualify new opportunities
- Utilizes all available resources, equipment, and vendor base to generate cost estimates for sales team
- Acts as liaison between Inside/Outside Sales and Process Engineering to ensure that quotations are accurate, and products being quoted are manufacturable
- Works with the Quality Department, Sales Department and Process Engineers on the introduction and qualification of new parts and/or part specific processes
- Assist in the creation of job specific work instructions and other procedural documentation
- Special projects as required
