ENGINEERED / PERFORMANCE PLASTICS
High performance spring energized polymer seals offer extreme-temperature, high-pressure, chemically inert, static and dynamic seals for the most demanding applications.
Our thin, flexible PTFE sealing jacket, made resilient by an internal energizing spring, applies a load to the sealing element at low pressures. As the system pressure increases, the spring engages to create a highly efficient seal against the mating surface. The spring provides permanent resilience to the seal jacket and compensates for jacket wear, hardware misalignment or eccentricity.
These seals are typically used in applications where a conventional elastomer seal is not acceptable for the application conditions.

ACETAL (DELRIN)
Acetal, also known as Polyoxymethylene (POM), is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. Acetal is characterized by its high strength, hardness and rigidity to −40 °C/F. Acetal is intrinsically opaque white, due to its high crystalline composition, but it is available in all colors.
Typical applications include housing for spring energized seals.

VIGRIN & FILLED PTFE
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. It is also known by the common trade name TEFLON™, trademark owned by The Chemours Company. PTFE can be molded into a variety of shapes or used as a coating for a variety of parts.
TFM
TFM is also known as Modified PTFE. TFM materials push the limits of normal PTFE. TFM products can be engineered to reduce cold flow, reinforced to have a firmer structure, be less permeable, become weldable, be more transparent, and have smoother surfaces for machining, while still retaining normal PTFE’s physical properties. 3M’s Dyneon®TFM is a popular brand name of TFM. Fluorine is part of what makes TFM special. Fluorine imparts special properties to fluoropolymers that make the difference for the polymer and the application.
Typical applications include seals, gaskets, shaped parts, molded cylinders, and small/thin walled parts across all industries.

PEEK
Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a colourless organic thermoplastic polymer. PEEK is a semicrystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are retained to high temperatures. The processing conditions used to mold PEEK can influence the crystallinity, and hence the mechanical properties.
PEEK is used to fabricate items used in demanding applications, including bearings, piston parts, pumps, HPLC columns, compressor plate valves, and cable insulation. One of the few plastics compatible with ultra-high vacuum applications. PEEK is considered an advanced bio-material used in medical implants. It is extensively used in the aerospace, automotive, and chemical process industries.
